Conor Spellman RIP

The Club was deeply saddened by the sudden and untimely death of Conor Spellman. Conor was one of the more talented players to play with the Club at underage level in the 1990s and was a prolific goal scorer with his team. As a youth player he enrolled through the Club on an FAI run soccer training course in Dublin and played junior football for a period while in the capital. Conor also played at senior level with the Club for a number of seasons and won the player of the year trophy in the 2004/2005 season, and was awarded the Sean O’ Connor / Martin Beckett trophy for his achievement. We pray that Sean, Martin and others will welcome him into the ‘Athletic squad’ in the eternal life. Conor was a genuinely likeable person and all in the Club who would have known him wish to extend our deepest sympathy to all his family. May he rest in peace.
