Killarney Athletic B 2 Castlemaine 1
This was a great team performance from the boys in "white" as Castlemaine wore their traditional light blue strip. Athletic were well on top in the early stages with great fluid passing about the team and with all players confident and relaxed with the passing, made Castlemaine work hard to get the ball. Great work by Mike Milner and Pedro Martins up front resulted in Pedro scoring from close range to lead 1-0 at half time. Castlemaine got a soft goal in the second half but it was quickly rectified with a great goal by Milner despite facing away from goal to ensure the points for Athletic. A great team display stemming from great training sessions. Keep it up boys
Denny Youth's League Result
Killarney Athletic 3 Tralee Dynamos 2
Our unbeaten run in the league continues with this very hard fought victory against a resolute Dynamos side. We came back from 2-0 down to get the three points today and only for goalkeeper Johnny O'Leary with a man of the match performance we could have been 4 or 5 down going in at the break. In a game where we didn't play to our usual high standards the management was delighted to see that although the boys were not playing well that they dug in and never gave up the ghost. Fantastic work ethic and attitude was shown to get the three points. Goalscorers were Paudie Clifford, Shane Lyne and a wonder strike from 35 yards from Adam O’Shea to give us the victory. Fantastic work ethic and attitude was shown to get the three points!

Under 16 A
Killarney Athletic 1 Killarney Celtic 4
In what was a below par performance from the A team today, they were never really out of the game until the final 10 minutes when very tired legs left Celtic in for 2 soft goals. In fact, Athletic conceded 4 really soft goals and if they can cut out mistakes, certainly are a force to be reckoned with. Unfortunately GAA season clashing at the moment but the lads should be firing on all cyclinders soon.
Under 16 B
Killarney Athletic 4 Park 3
Athletic took the lead from Jack O’Connor scoring from the corner kick before Park got 2 quick replies to lead 2-1 at half time. With Jack O’Connor in flying form, he then set up Adam Dennehy with 20 minutes to go to stir on Athletic. Two further goals from David Rea and Kasper ensured the win for Athletic. Well done boys. Special mention to Rory Carroll who was outstanding and kept the team in it along with Jack and Gavin Moriarty.
Under 14 National Cup
Killarney Athletic 4 Granville Rangers 3 After extra time
Athletic made the long trip to Limerick last Saturday and came away with a fine win. Athletic opened brightly and took the lead when Rory Keeffe volleyed to the net after 5 minutes and things got better when Jason Coffey drove a free kick all the way to the net. Granville pulled one back before the break and levelled the score 3 minutes into the second half. Play was end to end with both sides having chances before Reece Hegarty put Athletic 3  2 ahead with 20 minutes left. Granville threw everything at Athletic and they held firm until the last of 4 added minutes when a long shot ended up in the Athletic net. Heartbreak but Athletic picked themselves up and went again. No goals in the first half of extra time and with 5 minutes left in the second period penalties looked on the cards, until up popped Jason Coffey to head a Reece Hegarty corner to the net to give Athletic a super win. Overall a great team performance.
Under 12 SFAI National cup
Killarney Athletic  9 Mastergeeha 4
This was a top notch performance from the under 12s. With retaining good quality possession being first a foremost this achievement lead to very hard day for the Mastergeeha boys. The lads hard and focused work of passing the ball around on the ground that is being done in training certainly stood to them today as the opposition spent most of the game chasing the ball. This was a complete squad performance & delighted for the boys to be in the next round of the competition. Only for the fact that huge amounts of the game was about keeping the ball on another day this could have been a heavier scoreline. Scorers Evan Looney 3, Eoghan O’Sullivan 2, Owen Benson 2, Szymon Bartkiewicz 1, Owen Moynihan 1 Man of match Eoghan O’Sullivan Squad. Eoin Moynihan, Emmet Cronin, Cillian Hickey, Jack Cooper, Robert O’Shea, Emmet Finnan, Rossa Bellew, Eoghan O’Sullivan (Cpt), Owen Benson, Evan Looney, Szymon Bartkiewicz. Subs used Ethan Campbell, Eoghan Mulvaney, Max Orupkas, Adam Carey and Lawrence O’Donoghue.
