Killarney Athletic 3 Asdee 2
A good finish to the Season for the B team home to Asdee using many of the under 14 squad due to Communion in Killarney. In fact all 3 goal scorers were under 14 players boding well for the team. Adam Dennehy, Lorcan McMonagle and Michael Potts with the goals. Best for Athletic was Brendan Coppinger. Well done boys, enjoy the break and we will be back in August. on the counter attack. Inside the first few minutes of the second half, Ballyhar were level scoring to the top roof of the net. With all subs been made in the next few minutes and changing formation to 3 4 3, athletic were well on top again and had chance after chance but to no avail until a Jack o Connor, Mike Cronin play crossed for James Suter to score the second. Mike Cronin got athletics third quickly after to settle the nerves. Well done to Ballyhar for a good gsme. The boys have only 1 game left next week home to Park.on the counter attack. Under 13 League
Killarney Athletic 5 Park B 2
Athletic under 13 bagged another 3 points to go into joint second place in the league last Saturday with this well deserved win. Athletic started brightly and should have gone ahead with Jason Coffey, Finbarr Hickey both going close. From a rare attack Park went ahead but JJ Buckley and Jason Coffey put the blues 2 1 up at the break. Jason Coffey completed his hat trick in the second half and Finbarr Hickey popped up to head home another for a fine win. Athletic can now look forward to the CUP FINAL next Sunday versus Inter Kenmare to be played in Mastergeeha's ground.
Best of Luck: The club are very proud that David Naughten has been recalled for further Irish Trials in July. Well done David and best of luck.
Speedy Recovery: The club wish Siobhan O’Mahony best wishes in her road to recovery from a nasty injury suffered on Saturday in the WFAI cup. Siobhan broke her ankle in 2 places. Siobhan and husband Seamie officiate at many an Athletic game.
