Dessie Clarke RIP

Photo 1 is taken the night of the ‘Half Moon Revisited’ of Des with Tony Looney.

Photo 2 is taken on the night of the ’50th Gala Night’ of Des with Glen Spellman, Richard Horgan (both teammates at underage level), Don Fennell, Maurice O’ Donoghue and Simon Clifford (another teammate at underage level).

Photo 3 is of a Killarney Athletic Youth team in the 1980s with Des on the far right front row.​

“So sad to hear of the passing of Des. He was part of a very good and succ​essful Athletic underage team in the 80s and was a prolific goal scorer for the team. 

He was also so proud to be part of the Club’s 50th anniversary celebrations last year. Don Harrington remembers Des’ enthusiasm on the reunion night in the ‘Half Moon’ and the fondness in which he recalled his 1st ever game with the Club at underage level showing how much Killarney Athletic and the friends he made meant to him. He surely was a ‘True Blue’ and a really nice guy.
