Killarney Athletic 5 Castlemaine 2
A good team performance against a stubborn away side, Athletic’s class told in the end with a Diarmuid Galvin hat trick the highlight of the game added to by a Darren Horgan brace. Best on the day was birthday boy Laurence Burns with a commanding display at the back.
Under 14
Killarney Athletic v Mastergeeha
In a game where our under 14s never got going it was always going to be hard for Athletic to get back into to the game 2 goals down at half time and it got worse. Early in the second half Athletic conceded another goal. But with 4 changes Athletic got a great goal back from David Shaw, then a free kick 25 yrds out was put in to the net by Billy Courtney. A bad kick out led to Athletic going 4 goals to 2 goals down. Best for Athletic were Billy Courtney, Michael Potts, David Shaw and David Rea.
Under 12 Premier
Killarney Athletic V Listowel Celtic‏

The under 12's showed real signs of improvement at home to Listowel Celtic on Saturday morning. Although they lost 1 – 0 it was a fine and very competitive game against a strong Listowel outfit. Athletic had a couple of great chances to score particularly in the first half but were a bit unlucky to fall behind 1 – 0 at half time. It was above all an excellent team performance and each player gave it 100% right up to the final whistle. Results for this team so far have been poor and we hope that the team can keep up performances like this one for the rest of the season. In what was a great performance by the whole team Jonathan Green, Shane Trant, Colm Cagney, Reece Hegarty, Liam Curran, Gary Vaughan and Jason Coffey all played particularly well.
