Under 13 Girls League
Killarney Athletic 2 Listowel 2
A great result here for Killarney Athletic at a sun drenched Athletic Park on Saturday last. This was Athletic’s third game in the league with a loss and an away win versus Kingdom Girls already. This draw was another step forward for the girls as anytime you can hold the Queens of girls soccer in Kerry is a good day. Athletic went ahead when Ciara Randles latched onto a through ball from mid field and finished to the net. One nil at the break but Listowel hit back with two goals mid way through the second half. However Elizabeth Mohan struck a brilliant equaliser with five minutes left when she hit an unstoppable angled drive to the net to give Athletic a well deserved share of the spoils. Overall a great team performance and they can now look forward with confidence to the second half the league.

Under 12 Cup Game

Killarney Athletic 0 Listowel 3
Our Under 12 B team travelled to Listowel last Saturday to take on Listowel Celtic B in the Kerry Cup. They should have gone ahead early on but fell a goal behind against the run of play. It was 1 - 0 to Listowel at half time and in spite of their best efforts Athletic couldn't get back into the game and it finished 3 - 0 to Listowel who were the better team on the day. Best for Athletic were Jonathan Mee in goal, Max Huggard, Daniel Turc, Cian McCarthy and Adam O'Connell.

Under 15

Killarney Athletic 6 Castleisland 2
Our under 15 team kept their unbeaten run going with a 6-2 win over Castleisland away last weekend. This game was played in very heavy under conditions with touch and movement of the ball very difficult. However we went in at half-time 2-0 to the better after Dara Curran made a brilliant save from a penalty, Michael Casey scored both goals. This game gave players a chance to stake their claim as we were missing a few regulars and they duly did. The second half started very lack lustre and we allowed Castleisland back into the game to make it 2-1 after 10 minutes. This goal gave our boys the urge to kick on and they surely did this totally dominating the remainder of the game running out winners 6-2. On the day Michael Casey was magic scoring 5 goals and could have bagged 5 more only for the oppositions goalie. Gavin White popped up with a great goal also after a great move. Well done to all and this team is now still unbeaten in the league so keep up the good work guys with some very tough games coming.
