Ballyhar Dynamos 6-0 Killarney Athletic
Played in ideal conditions Athletic started well with great defending from Hickey, O’Brien, Tynan & O’Shaughnessy. In midfield Lee, Mulvaney & the returning McCann really put it up to Ballyhar in the first half who led 2-0 at half time following defensive errors.
Short of several regulars Athletic tired in the second half & only for some great play by Doolan who kept his side in it. Moynihan when introduced followed good work from Osieba, O’Sullivan & the excellent Horgan all provided. Some tough tackling by Quill let Ballyhar know they were in a game but it was too little too late as the score line was a poor reflection on the hard work the team put in.
Best on the day were Hickey, Horgan & Lee.
