Killarney Athletic 3 Kingdoms Boys 6
We started the game missing several regulars through injury and with three debutants in the team so it was a baptism of fire for them lads, we went two down to a very well organised Kingdom Boys team early on, Gavin O’Shea who was captain got our goal after good work by Jack O’Connor and Diarmuid Galvin. The opposition then got another two goals before Jack O’Connor was rewarded for his good work with a goal. Gavin O’Shea got our last goal from the spot, to leave the final score 6-3 to the home side. Best on a tough day for us were Gavin O’Shea, Jack O’Connor, Steven Cahillane, TJ O’Sullivan and Diarmuid Galvin.

Killarney Athletic 0 Dingle 4
It was a big task to meet last year’s winners in our first outing of the Season and get a result against a big physical side like Dingle. However the lads gave it their all with fine displays keeping the score to 1-0 at half time and no clear winner at that stage. Solid performances by Johnny O’Leary, Chris O’Meara and Darragh Coffey frustrated the Dingle boys and with Danny Healy, Brendan Cronin and Caiman Mangan battling in midfield – it was anyone’s game. Up front David Sheerin and Mark O’Shea kept plugging away despite hitting the upright a couple of times. But the Dingle fitness shown through and eventually paid off in the last 10 minutes running in 3 fast goals. Well done to all.

Killarney Athletic 5 Kingdom Boys 2
Killarney Athletic beat Kingdom Boys 5 goals to 2 goals. Going down after 5 minutes Athletic got a goal back from then on Athletic never looked back and on the 15th minute went ahead. On the 20th minute Athletic went 3 goals up but just before half time Kingdom Boys got a goal back. The second half belonged to Athletic with 2 more goals best for Athletic David Naughton who marshalled his defence well, Billy Courtney who was Athletics’ man of the match Mark O’Shea and 4 goal hero David Shaw.
Condolences: Sincere sympathy to the O’Connell family on their recent sad loss.
