seniors lose to Lisselton

Kerry District League Premier A
Lisselton Rovers 6 Killarney Athletic 1
In the final game of the season, an unmotivated senior team allowed a more than motivated Lisselton plunder a devastating win. Two down after twenty minutes and four behind at half-time, this will go down as a very disappointing loss considering the side which lined out. Athletic had many chances but little luck and Lisselton didn’t need to be asked twice to take their chances.
The never-say-die Brian O’ Reilly pulled one back from the spot just after the break and there must have been ten more chances to score but to no avail. Brian O’ Connor kept out two more certainties.
Good heart was shown to respond but a lot more will be needed to see off Camp in the Greyhound Cup semi-final next weekend.
